Spenser Leeds is the rare kind of luthier that will always go the extra mile to get your instruments in the best shape possible no matter how long it takes. He won’t upsell you and will be happy to discourage you from any service that your guitar doesn’t 100% need. He has found hidden issues in my guitar collection that no other luthiers have found despite taking them for setups multiple times. The big selling point for me was finding a mystery crackling noise in a custom guitar that had been going on for months. I had pickups rewired, taken it to probably four other repair places who all were happy to take my money to diagnose and change out some parts but no one actually solved any problem. Spenser FOUND the problem, (crazy enough was the static electricity from the metal flake in the guitars finish) and was able to come up with a creative way to solve it just before I had to leave for an international tour. I had taken this guitar to people who had been working on guitars and electronics for over 20 years and they had no clue. The setups feel incredible, rates are super competitive, and the communication is top notch. I’ve been recommending Leeds to everyone."
